Tips on definitions and sources:

  • Definitions are constantly modified
  • Different sources use different words for definitions
  • When defining a term in your reports/affidavits, cite the source in your writing
  • When citing a source in a writing, consider archiving the page for future reference (,, etc...)
  • One definition can intentionally be used to discredit another (such as defining 'workstation' as only referring to a desktop, laptop, server, or as a desk used for work)
